Meet Julia Grace, LMHC, LPCC, R-DMT

Julia Grace Vishnepolsky, LPCC, LMHC, R-DMT,  is a psychotherapist ( LPCC Lic#5082 and LMHC Lic # 10414) specializing in expressive arts and dance/movement therapy. She is passionate about helping people find trust, flow, and meaning in their lives in ways that are creative and embodied.

Julia Grace first discovered the healing arts as a therapeutic modality after personally experiencing their psychotherapeutic benefits, while mourning the sudden loss of her father.  In seeing the positive and transformational effect expressive movement, art, and mindfulness practices had in her life, Julia set on a professional path to offer these therapeutic healing arts to others. She has dedicated the last 15 years to studying the nature of human behavior with deep exploration on the role of the positive psychology, mindfulness, embodiment and creativity helping human beings thrive.

Julia Grace has worked with a variety of clinical populations including children with behavioral and neurological challenges, adults with developmental delays in day treatment, as well as adults struggling with chronic mental illness, trauma, and addiction in outpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential settings.  

Currently, Julia Grace facilitates expressive arts therapy groups at Visions Adolescent Treatment center and has a private practice in Mar Vista, CA, where she offers trauma sensitive somatic and expressive art therapy sessions for individuals to increase resiliency, reduce stress and anxiety,  overcome depression, trauma, and/or addiction, and navigate various stages of life. 

In addition to her clinical work, Julia Grace is a certified Qoya,  and JourneyDance facilitator, manages her non-profit, PlantPals, and lectures frequently at conferences on the integration of the arts in healthcare.

Ms. Vishnepolsky obtained her Masters in Arts in Clinical Counseling and Expressive Arts Therapy with a specialization in Dance Movement Therapy from Lesley University, Cambridge, MA. in 2013, Her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from McGill University in 2008, is a Registered Dance Movement Therapist (R-DMT Lic#) with the  American Dance Therapy Association,  is a licensed  as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC Lic #10414) with the Massachusetts board of Allied Mental Health and Human Services Professions, and as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC Lic #5082) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
